This is Loreto Island the smallest island in Lake Iseo, northern Italy, between Milan and Verona and one day this year I intend to canoe out to it.
It is a privately owned island so I’m expecting to get chased away pretty sharpish, but all the same I intend to cross the still water of one of the most scenic places on earth and take a few snapshots. Maybe even a selfie or two.
It’s a bit of a secret of mine that I love canoeing and to be fair I haven’t been in ages, and I mean it really has been years. I hope that over the next few months I can get up to scratch with my guilty pleasure and take up the sport that I have so neglected yet enjoy so much. Hopefully I’ll be able to ramp up my love of it and take myself out of the pools and local lakes and on to some grand adventures.
It’s about time I had myself a grownup pastime again rather than just going to the pub.
So this is a little spot on my blog where I will post places I want to go and maybe (given time) a log of my coming adventures.
